Please join me and support my favorite nonprofit, Red Door Community, celebrating 29 years of FREE cancer support on November 7th! A little known fact: In 2023, there were over 1.5 million 501c3 nonprofits as reported by the IRS. Of these nonprofits, 97% had an annual revenue of $5 million or less. With boots on the ground, and limited financial resources they provide their communities with so many valuable social services including food, shelter, and healthcare to name a few. Their numbers are great because the need for their programs is even greater. Red Door Community is one of these nonprofits providing FREE cancer support to everyone and anyone living with cancer … young or old … adults … teens … children, reaching over 20,000 people annually. They provide support groups, individual counseling sessions, healthy lifestyle workshops, and educational lectures all in a welcoming community. Thousands of programs offered each year for FREE. And it isn’t easy, but they have never wavered from their commitment during good times and bad. Today I ask you to support their Signature Gala which represents a substantial portion of their annual revenue by making a donation, purchasing tickets or sponsoring a table. Red Door Community hosted our annual Celebrating Women Working & Living with Cancer Benefit Luncheon on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the Metropolitan Club in NYC! The event raised vital funds for our cancer support programs while shining a light on the women who inspire us through their daily courage and leadership.
