Who you are today is NOT the limit of who you can be. It’s time to redefine your identity from the inside out. Your self-image shapes your reality. Let’s break it down: What do you feel you deserve? Are you holding back from the space you should occupy? It’s time to embrace the attributes you've always admired in others. You might think, “I can't be that person.” But that belief is what's holding you back. Imagine what could happen if you allow yourself to step into those dreams. Think about the last time you doubted yourself. Was it about your skills, your worth, or your presence? That doubt does not define you. It’s simply a ceiling that you can shatter. Decide TODAY to take up space unapologetically. Allow yourself to be: - A visionary - A leader - A creator Reflect on who you want to become. Then, write it down. Make your dreams your starting point. You have the power to rewrite your narrative. So, who will you decide to be? PS: Comment below with ONE trait you admire and aim to embody.

Ever felt like luck just wasn't on your side? Here’s the truth: luck can be maximized. Let’s talk about "luck maxing". It’s not mystical or unattainable. Luck is basically randomness that happens to favor you. But here’s the kicker: you can control two key variables. 1. Increase your exposure to randomness → Put yourself out there. → Say yes to new experiences. → Connect with diverse people. 2. Make that randomness work in your favor → Embrace irrational resilience. → Don’t shy away from failure. → Keep pushing through challenges. By combining these two strategies, your luck will grow. I’ve seen it happen countless times. When I started my career, I was just a nobody. But I chose to step outside my comfort zone. Networking. Taking risks. While other people waited for opportunities, I created my own. Guess what? It paid off. My so called "luck" multiplied. So, how about you? Are you willing to put yourself out there? Are you ready to be resilient against adversity? Try it out and watch life’s randomness turn in your favor. If you’ve had a "lucky" break, share how you made it happen.

I recently had a rather unusual experience during a video interview for a caregiving position. The candidate started rolling a joint right on camera. I don’t think she realized I could see her hands or the table. When I asked if this was still a good time to chat, she confirmed it was, without even looking up. Talk about a moment of disbelief! It got me thinking about the importance of professionalism, especially in a caregiving role. → Caregiving is about respect and compassion. → It demands a clear head and full attention. → The best caregivers form empathetic connections. However, this interaction brought to light some vital lessons for all candidates: 1. Always be aware of your surroundings on camera. 2. Maintain professionalism, regardless of the role. 3. First impressions matter, make them count. We’re in a time where remote work is the norm, and every detail counts more than ever. This instance, while surprising, is a reminder that everyone has room for growth and learning. Mistakes can happen, but how we respond is what truly defines us. For all job seekers out there, stay sharp! Your next opportunity could be just a video call away. Have you had a surprising moment in an interview? Share your story!

She called me in tears from a drug testing facility. The news was devastating. She was told she failed the drug test for taking too long. But here's the twist: it wasn't because of any substances. She took too long because she had to poop. Now, this story might seem funny at first glance, but it reveals a deeper issue. In our rush to check boxes, we often overlook the human element in hiring. The pressure can be immense, and simple situations can spiral out of control. When you’re anxious, even the simplest tasks become monumental. As hiring managers, we should be empathetic. We need to remember that our candidates are real people, not just names on a list. Their experiences matter. What’s a better approach? Here are a few thoughts: 1. Communicate Clearly:Make sure candidates know what to expect. 2. Be Flexible: Understand that everyone has unique circumstances. 3. Create a Safe Environment: Foster open communication; it minimizes stress. 4. Integrate a Human Touch: A friendly conversation can ease tension. This incident is a reminder that hiring is not just about filling positions. It's about understanding the people behind the applications. Let's prioritize compassion in our hiring processes. You never know the pressure someone else is facing. Have you had a similar experience?
