The Paris 2024 Olympics may have ended yesterday but it is never too soon to think about sustainability for the 2028 Olympics that will take place in Los Angeles! ?? This year, all of the Olympic winners’ podiums and bleacher seats in the new Aquatics Centre were made out of recycled plastic manufactured by a start up! It’s inspiring to see the Olympics not only taking steps to be more sustainable this year but also employing plastic recycling start-ups like us. One of our goals is to help small plastics companies grow so they can make meaningful impacts like this. Furthermore, past Olympic Games produced tens of thousands of tons of waste. However, this year their goal is to drastically reduce this amount by cutting the consumption of single-use plastics to half the levels seen during the London 2012 Games.
