Large numbers of Latino voters are expected to show up at the polls this November and could swing the results in battleground states, according to?a new report?by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LATINO ELECTED and Appointed Officials. The report projects that at least 17.5 million Latinos–or 51.8% of all voting-age Latinos in the U.S.–will vote in the 2024 presidential election, a 6.5% increase from the turnout in 2020. “With more than one of every 10 voters in 2024 expected to be Latino, our community is poised to play a decisive role in the presidential election and others throughout the nation,”?said NALEO educational fund CEO Arturo Vargas?following the publication of the report.

Sunday's game has presented a unique opportunity to spark a wider conversation about representation, respect, and the potential for meaningful change in both sports and society at large.
