关于我们
RE-CENTER Race & Equity in Education is a national non-profit organization committed to building an equitable and just world where everyone has what they need to grow and thrive. We work in partnership with youth, families, schools, other organizations, and communities to facilitate nurturing spaces where people can understand and challenge systemic racism and oppression. In all of our partnerships, we practice critical questioning, cultivate connection, and inspire action. We are based in Hartford, CT, and work with 4,000+ students and educators each year around the country. In addition to our student-centered programming, RE-Center offers services that build the capacity of all people to understand and effectively engage with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We offer policy review, equity audits, coaching, curriculum development support, and more.

Sign our pledge to ANTAGONIZE INJUSTICE here: https://lnkd.in/e7tpPfDV The ANTAGONIZE INJUSTICE CAMPAIGN is a movement call to action, demanding we RE-ignite our collective intentions for liberation. In the face of attacks on DEI work, a particular type of vigilance and coalition-building is needed to face entrenched injustice. This is a movement to demand individuals and organizations, who in 2020, after the execution of George Floyd, made public pledges to lean deeply into addressing systems of inequity. What lingers from these declarations is little energy and even less action to enact change. We have an individual and collective opportunity to RE-commit to those pledges and declarations NOW in 2024. Calling in the power of ancestral legacies committed to centering racial and social justice across civil rights movements, we accept and own every opportunity to ANTAGONIZE INJUSTICE. Our accountability manifests in the histories we write today as we agitate and unravel systems of oppression, embodying justice and liberation.

No Margin, No Mission?is proud to have been part of the second annual SOCIAL ENTERPRISE ACCELERATOR ALL-COHORT LEARNING SESSION in Hartford, CT thanks to generous support from the?Hartford Foundation for Public Giving! It was such a treat to be together with ED's/CEO's, Board, and Staff members from the Tenacious Ten, Super Six, and Entrepreneurial Eight nonprofits to participate in a valuable session to share tips, tools, and helpful hints that have made each of their earned income ventures successful. Now in its sixth year, the SEA Initiative offers nonprofits the opportunity to learn about and explore earned income possibilities, with the ultimate goal being to help them launch or grow a mission-aligned venture that will boost entrepreneurial capacity, revenue, and mission impact.
