Whitaker Family Furniture Owner Ike Whitaker spent over 20 years battling addiction. As a young quarterback for Virginia Tech he had high hopes and talent to make the NFL. Through his battles with addiction his life took many tragic turns, and since then is one of hope and redemption. He is now a committed father and husband, and operates his business with a huge heart to pour back into the community that helped him while he was struggling through his addiction. Owner Rachel Whitaker worked over 10 years in Mental Health. She spent 5 years on an ACT team helping individuals with co-occurring Mental Health and addiction diagnosis’. She has a heart to help the community and has dedicated her life to helping struggling individuals and families get back on their feet. Whitaker Family Furniture is truly more than furniture and we at Rebuilt Treatment and Recovery look forward to an on going partnership as we endeavor to reach the community.
