Building stronger communities, one park, recreation center, and library at a time.
关于我们
More than 400 neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and libraries in Philadelphia serve as safe spaces for people to learn, play, exercise, and get access to important services. However, about 90 percent of these places are in need of investment. Rebuild is a historic investment in Philadelphia communities made possible by the Philadelphia Beverage Tax. Rebuild will invest hundreds of millions of dollars in improving community facilities for the sake of building stronger Philadelphia communities, one park, a recreation center, and a library at a time. Through its projects, Rebuild will: - Make physical improvements to parks, recreation centers, and libraries. - Promote diversity and economic inclusion. Rebuild will support minorities and women who work (or want to work) in the design and construction industries. - Engage with community members to leverage their knowledge, power, and expertise. Community feedback will inform the improvements that are made to facilities.

ICYMI: In November, we cut the ribbon at Vare Recreation Center - a project supported by a $250,000 grant from our very own world champion Philadelphia Eagles! Vare is also #RebuildPHL’s first completed $20+ million project, and the first of 183 rec centers to receive high-speed fiber optic internet! This work is about investing in the potential of our young people so that future world champions can play, learn, and grow at safe high-quality facilities right here in our city. Thank you to Mayor Cherelle L. Parker, Council President Kenyatta Johnson, Rep. Jordan Harris, Senator Anthony Hardy Williams, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, PHL Innovation, Connor Barwin & Make The World Better Foundation, the Rosenthal Foundation, the William Penn Foundation and, most importantly, the Vare community for your hard work, passion and commitment to this transformational project.
