This #BlackHistoryMonth, we’re shining a light on Cedar Crest, one of Dallas’s historic Black communities. A neighborhood rich in culture, resilience, and history, Cedar Crest has been home to generations of Black families who have built businesses, raised families, and created a strong sense of community. ?? But like many historically Black neighborhoods, Cedar Crest has faced challenges—aging homes, limited access to resources, and the lasting effects of past discriminatory policies. That’s why Rebuilding Together North Texas has made Cedar Crest a priority neighborhood, ensuring that families can stay in their homes safely and with dignity. ?? By investing in home repairs and revitalization efforts, we’re working to honor the legacy of Cedar Crest while building a stronger future. ??
