This mixed-income senior housing community brings 72 much-needed apartments to East Charlotte, serving residents earning 30% to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). ?? Last night, REBIC hosted an insightful presentation by Charlotte Water Director Angela Charles, discussing the crucial topic of their Interbasin Transfer (IBT) modification request. The session highlighted Charlotte Water’s proactive steps in planning for long-term water needs, aiming to ensure sustainability for the region's future growth. The potential IBT modification would allow an additional transfer of 30 MGD to the Rocky River Basin, a necessary move as current projections indicate that the existing 2002 certification limit will be reached between 2028-2030. ?? We are grateful for the collaborative approach with stakeholders and the community in shaping these efforts.? Questions and comments are encouraged. ?? [email protected] or to [email protected] ??
