Many children struggle with Developmental Language Disorder, "but so few people seem to know about it," which is why raising awareness is so important.

Imagine a classroom where every child seems to understand the instructions—except for one. This student isn't struggling with the task itself but with the language used to explain it. This could be a sign of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). DLD is a learning deficit that affects a child's ability to use and understand language, leading to challenges in communication, academics, and social interactions. It affects approximately 1 in every 14 kindergarten-aged children, yet it often goes undiagnosed due to its subtlety and complexity.
