On November 11, we come together to honor the service and sacrifice of veterans and active military members in Canada and the United States. In Canada, Remembrance Day calls us to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms, while the U.S. observes Veterans Day to honour all who have served. Today, we express deep gratitude for their courage, resilience, and dedication. Thank you to veterans, active service members, and their families. We remember and honour you.

On Friday, high school seniors from Galax City Public Schools, Grayson County Public Schools, Carroll County Public Schools, Carroll County High School CTE, and Grayson Co CATE Center who are enrolled in Twin County Manufacturing Excellence toured REAL PERFORMANCE MACHINERY, LLC (RPM) in Independence. They learned about different job opportunities and careers available to them, received soft skills information on what employers expect from employees, and enjoyed lunch provided by RPM. Thank you to the RPM staff who took the time to talk to these students and provide them with an in-depth tour experience!

RPM was well represented by Bobby McGee (aka Carson Akins) at the Trunk or Treat event held in Independence, VA. We were happy to be included in this community event!

RPM would like to recognize our September and October employees of the month. Jared Lucas is our employee of the month for September. He has been working at multiple locations across the US for weeks in our Controls Department and we finally got him back to present this recognition. Jared's hard work and dedication are truly appreciated! Next, we have Dustin Phillips as our October employee of the month. Dustin has been a positive influence in our Fabrication Department. He provides daily assistance to those in his department and to other departments as well. Dustin is a great example of a team player! Our employee appreciation lunch was sponsored by one of our great vendors BICO Steel! We appreciate Steven Bryant and all of his efforts! He even has his little one in some stylish swag.

RPM was recognized as the 2024 Large Business of the Year at the Twin County Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet! We are very thankful for this recognition and for the support of the chamber. Our achievements are the direct result of the work ethic and brilliant minds of our awesome employees! The chamber hosted a great event and we are appreciative of their efforts to support local businesses in our area.

We would like to thank the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing for hosting a great event! They do a first-class job of supporting and recognizing manufacturing companies in our area! RPM was recognized as the winner in two categories, Innovations in Manufacturing and the Community Choice Award. The recognition received would never happen without our great employees in Virginia and Enderby, BC who give their all every day! Our VA employees have been battling a natural disaster for a week and still continue to produce quality work while maintaining a great attitude! We truly have a great workforce!!

Our RPM electrical engineer, Louie Federico, recently ran his first full 42.2km marathon at the Apple Marathon in Kelowna this weekend. He finished 1st place for the 20–29-year-old age group.??We are honored to have employees who are not only dedicated to our company's success but also to their personal accomplishments! Great job Louie!

We were happy to host the Lieutenant Governor of Virginia Winsome Earle-Sears for a visit and tour of RPM! The Lt. Governor was very complimentary of our local community and very open to hearing ways that our state government could support our business. She is very supportive of the trade occupations at all levels! We appreciate the Lt. Governor taking time to visit and support our company!
