Read Aloud Delaware's mission is to create a life-long impact through early childhood literacy. Our volunteers share our mission daily at more than 100 reading sites across Delaware. Each reading encounter introduces children ages 1 to 5 years old to the world of literacy and sparks the desire to become lifelong readers.

Read Aloud Delaware is pleased to welcome Christina Kelley to our Board of Directors! Christina recently joined GGA Construction as their Business Development Manager and brings over 25 years of experience in media, advertising, and business development through her work at Today Media and American Express. Christina recently completed six years of board service with Prevent Child Abuse Delaware. She has been an active member of ABC Delaware since 2009, serving on the Public Relations and Membership Committees, and has also volunteered with the ABCares Committee. We’re excited to have Christina on board and look forward to her contributions. Please give her a RAD welcome!

No better way to close out the year than by spreading some holiday cheer??! Just before the holidays, I had a great time reading and giving gifts to the kids of St. Michael’s School and Nursery - they were very excited to have us there! ?? Big thank to you to Ms. Carolmarie Brown of Ashland for sponsoring all the gifts for the kids! So grateful for her and the company’s continued support ???? Additional thank yous to my mom JoAnn Means, MBA, who helped me create the Girls Empowerment STEM Initiative, and my friend Lav Petrovi?, a member of my initiative, for being apart of this and reading to the kids as well. Another thank you to my friend Councilman James Spadola, MBA, the Executive Director of Read Aloud Delaware, for helping put this together!
