Read Alliance works to accelerate the educational trajectory of early elementary students through the power of teens who provide one-to-one literacy tutoring in under-resourced communities. Success starts early - as early as kindergarten and first grade. Since 2000, Read Alliance has improved the reading skills of more than 15,000 striving young readers while at the same time provided meaningful paid employment and job experience to more than 13,000 teen leaders.

These initiatives can address a wide range of issues, from mental health to gun violence prevention. Projects are recognized by elected officials and key community stakeholders, highlighting the youth's contributions and encouraging broader community support.? ? "This program is important to me because it offers me a chance to demonstrate and practice my leadership skills while also making an impact in my community." - Brandon Ayala, READ Senior Teen Leader; MBSK Board Council Member ?
