Recently, one of our READ Senior Teen Leaders, Brandon Ayala, had the opportunity to present for the MBSK (My Brothers and Sisters Keeper Council) Initiative at the Kings Theater! MBSK is a program designed to empower youth ages 16 to 24 to develop projects that positively impact their communities. These initiatives can address a wide range of issues, from mental health to gun violence prevention. Projects are recognized by elected officials and key community stakeholders, highlighting the youth's contributions and encouraging broader community support.? ? Read Alliance awarded the 2024 Rising Leaders College Scholarship to Teen Leaders Edlyn Awedoba, Irfane DaSilva, Alexa Leiva, Aniyah Mardorf, and Fatema Rahman. Teen Leader Salutatorian, Edlyn Awedoba, who is starting her first year at Columbia University, shared words of inspiration and her memorable experiences as a Teen Leader with her fellow teens at the Summit closing ceremony.
