Just a few years ago, the biggest concern about EVs was range anxiety—the fear of running out of charge with no station in sight. But today? That concern is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. ? ?? The average new EV now offers more than 250 miles of range, with some models exceeding 400 miles on a single charge. ?? The nationwide charging network is growing fast—there are now over 180,000 public charging ports in the U.S., with federal and private investments adding thousands more every month. ?? Apps and in-car navigation make finding a charger effortless, ensuring you always know where your next charge is coming from. ?? Home charging means starting every day with a full battery—no gas station stops required. The reality? It’s never been easier to own and enjoy an EV. Whether you're commuting, road-tripping, or just running errands, the infrastructure is in place to keep you moving. Have you made the switch to electric? Tell us about your experience in the comments!???

Stories move people. They transform data into meaning, transform ideas into action, and unite communities around a shared vision. ?? In marketing—especially when it comes to electrification and sustainability—storytelling isn’t just a tool; it’s a necessity. ?? Take Recharge Mankato, a collaborative effort between Recharge America and the Mankato Area Foundation to build a forward-thinking roadmap for electrification in the region. ? This project isn’t just about infrastructure—it’s about people. It’s about how local businesses, residents, and community leaders shape an energy future that works for everyone. One of Mankato’s own, Josh Tavel, embodies this spirit of innovation. As General Motors' chief engineer for EVs, Tavel has been at the forefront of the electric revolution, leading projects like the Hummer EV, the world’s first all-electric supertruck. But before he was helping shape GM’s "zero-zero-zero" future, he was a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he first honed his leadership skills and deep passion for automotive engineering. His journey from Mankato to Michigan—and from a Formula SAE student to a leader in the EV industry—is a testament to the power of vision, hard work, and a commitment to progress. Through thoughtful engagement, Recharge Mankato is showcasing authentic voices and real impact—stories of businesses future-proofing their operations, municipalities making sustainable commitments, and everyday residents excited about the shift to cleaner transportation. By centering these stories, we’re not just sharing a vision for the future; we’re making that future feel possible, relatable, and urgent. At REACH Strategies, we know that when communities see themselves in the story, they are more likely to be part of the movement. And when it comes to electrification, the movement is happening now. How is storytelling shaping your work? Drop a comment below—we’d love to hear.???

?? The Power of Partnership in Clean Energy Marketing Clean energy transformation isn’t a solo act—it’s a symphony of collaboration. The most impactful campaigns in electrification, sustainability, and energy equity don’t happen in a vacuum. They thrive when brands, utilities, nonprofits, and government agencies unite to amplify reach, pool expertise, and drive real change. ?? At REACH Strategies, we’ve seen firsthand how partnerships fuel progress. Through initiatives like Recharge America, we bring communities, policymakers, and businesses together to accelerate EV adoption. With DRIVEN, we’re uniting key players to create seamless and equitable access to electrification solutions nationwide. Why does this matter? Because no single entity can solve the clean energy challenge alone. By aligning efforts, we can: ?? Build trust through community engagement ?? Scale impact faster with shared resources ?? In honor of Black History Month, we’re celebrating a pioneering electrical engineer and inventor: Lewis Latimer.?? Latimer was born in Massachusetts in 1848 and served with the Union Navy during the Civil War. Racial discrimination prevented him from going to college, so he taught himself mechanical drawing. ?? Soon, the Boston engineer was working with Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone, to make major technical improvements to the way these new devices transmitted sound. ?? In 1882, he patented a way to mass-produce the carbon filaments in lightbulbs. ?? His invention made it possible to light up homes across America. Latimer began working closely with Thomas Edison in 1885, and was named to an elite group of electrical engineers called the Edison Pioneers. His most famous quote celebrates the power of light to improve the lives of everyone: “Like the light of the sun, it beautifies all things on which it shines, and is no less welcome in the palace than in the humblest home.” Photo Credit: National Park Service
