The fall 2024 Recharge Minnesota and Recharge Massachusetts Symposia, hosted by REACH Strategies and Recharge America, were major milestones in accelerating the growth of clean energy and transportation electrification. These daylong events united leaders from a wide range of industries and entities, who shared their positive stories about an array of electrification initiatives. They offered an unparalleled platform to collaborate, exchange information, and ignite change. The Minnesota symposium showcased the state’s impressive strides in increasing access to EV charging stations. In Massachusetts, local and regional successes in electrification were on display.? Both days were filled with thoughtful conversations around infrastructure development, equitable access, and workforce growth. Many of us who were there were inspired to return to our own organizations and communities, ready to lead transformative initiatives around electrification. Both of these statewide symposia showed just how transformative it can be to gather diverse voices in one room to explore the opportunities and challenges surrounding clean energy and EVs. The collaboration, innovation, and commitment that shone through at these events are what we need most to shape a more sustainable future.

This Veterans Day, CBT News reported on an innovative EV incentive: All through November, @general-motors is offering active duty military and veterans $1,000 off the purchase of an EV! Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC models are eligible for this savings program. The incentives are available through GM’s Military Appreciation page. This incentive is a great way for GM to honor our veterans for their service – and show its pride in the growing American EV industry. Need help deciding which EV is right for you? Send us a message or leave your question in the comments and one of our EV experts will respond! https://lnkd.in/gchgNdXy

This September, REACH organized a first-of-its-kind event in the Bay Area dedicated to building one of the fastest-growing workforce sectors in America: the clean energy industry. Our client County of Marin hosted the Marin Electrification Career Fair, which brought more than 100 job seekers in contact with employers, unions, and nonprofits to talk about high-quality jobs. Thanks so much for MCE and Contractors License Guru for sponsoring the event. The excitement we felt at the success of this event reminded us of the first EV test drives we organized 12 years ago, when no one had thought about harnessing the power of first-person experiences to sell drivers on electric vehicles. From our discussions with utilities, companies, and public agencies around the US, we know that there are so many career opportunities available in electrification right now. To keep up with the rapid transformation of the economy, we have to create electrification career fairs in every community. We must find ways to reach out to job seekers and tell them: There’s a place for you in the electrification economy. Reach out to us if you'd like to talk about organizing an electrification career fair in your community!

Last month, REACH and our client, Transportation Authority of Marin, brought together around 100 representatives from Northern California agencies and commercial fleets for the second annual Clean Fleet Expo. The event showed that the critical discussions our communities need to have around EVs aren’t limited to personal automobiles. It was inspiring to see so many public agencies come together to discuss how we can electrify our fleets of school buses, trucks, vans, and other commercial vehicles! The day was filled with lively discussions. Sixteen vehicles, spanning a range of classes, were on display. Participants also toured one of Oakland Unified School District’s electric buses. Thanks to sponsors Kingsburg Truck Center, East Bay Clean Cities Coalition, MCE, Polaris Government & Defense, NV5, and Sustainable Life Builders for making this event possible.? As we look toward 2035, when the California Air Resources Board will require all new vehicles to be zero-emission, it’s critical we continue to have these conversations across agencies and communities. Year two of the Clean Fleet Expo won’t be the last. We need more events like this, all over California and across the country, to engage every community in this important transition.?

October kicks off National Clean Energy Action Month, and it’s time to take action! With support from the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), federal agencies are aggressively working to improve their energy management, resilience, and optimization. What does that mean? Federal agencies have worked together to reduce their energy use (and costs) by 26% since 2003. Lower energy use means lower costs, which means our taxpayer dollars go further. Progress is possible if we work together. Now is the time to join forces through public-private partnerships and accelerate energy and water-saving projects. Whether you’re improving campus-wide systems or upgrading individual facilities, every step strengthens our federal infrastructure’s security and resilience. Let’s push forward, innovate, and make a lasting impact. How will you take action this month? #CleanEnergyAction #EnergyResilience #Sustainability

Hispanic Heritage Month: A Celebration of Culture, History, and Unity ?? From September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month offers an opportunity to honor the legacies, histories, and cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities. But why these dates? They mark the anniversaries of independence for several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua on September 15, followed by Mexico on September 16, and Chile on September 18. This month stands as a tribute to the past, the present, and the ongoing contributions of these vibrant communities. Hispanic Heritage Month is about more than just history—it's about celebrating a community that has deeply influenced the arts, sciences, politics, and every facet of society. It’s a time to recognize the diversity within the Hispanic culture, from food and music to language and traditions that have shaped the world we live in today. How can you support? ?? Learn and Share: Dive into the rich stories of Hispanic leaders, thinkers, and creators. Whether it's through reading books, watching films, or attending local cultural events, there are endless ways to engage with the history and culture. ?? Support Hispanic-Owned Businesses: Uplift the community by shopping at Hispanic-owned businesses or donating to organizations that promote educational and professional growth within these communities. Let’s celebrate the vibrancy, resilience, and cultural contributions of Hispanic communities everywhere. This month is a reminder that diversity strengthens us, and that by recognizing and uplifting these voices, we all thrive together. Fuerza, Cultura, Comunidad!?
