Our CEO, Margaret Salazar, was recently quoted in TIME, emphasizing why continued investment in affordable housing is more important than ever. Uncertainty in HUD funding and anticipated staff reductions is making it harder for housing developers, locally and across the United States, to plan and complete critical projects. With these challenges ahead, the need to protect fair housing laws and expand affordable housing has never been greater. At REACH, we see these impacts firsthand. Every day, we work to create and preserve affordable housing so families, seniors, and individuals have a place to call home. But we can’t do it alone. Lasting change requires long-term commitment and funding, and we need your help. Advocate for housing funding, support organizations driving change, and raise your voice for policies that keep communities strong. ?? Housing stability is the foundation of thriving communities. Join us in making it a reality. #ActForHousing #AffordableHomesNow #REACHCommunity #KeepHousingFunded

REACH CEO, Margaret Salazar, recently spoke with OPB about the impact of federal housing cuts on Oregon’s homelessness crisis and the urgent need for long-term solutions. As the article highlights, funding reductions are slowing progress at a time when our communities need more investment in affordable housing—not less. At REACH, we remain committed to creating and preserving affordable homes, but we can’t do it alone. Now more than ever, we need bold action and sustained support to ensure every Oregonian has a safe, stable place to call home.
