The 2025 Washington, D.C. Fly-In is in full-swing! 🛬 This annual event is a time for the entire Rural Community Assistance Partnership Incorporated (RCAP) network to meet with elected officials and ensure effective coordination around federal priorities for RCAP assistance. We're engaging with government representatives about the critical importance of water, wastewater, and solid waste solutions, as well as our work implementing comprehensive economic development initiatives. We are able to offer these complementary and affordable services with funds available to our organization through government grants and contracts we administer. Our efforts leverage millions of additional dollars annually for the people and areas we assist. #RCAPOnTheHill2025

🧑🏫 RCAP workshops and trainings cover a wide-range of topics to support small, rural communities. Topics include achieving and maintaining compliance for small water, wastewater, and solid waste systems. We also offer workshops on broader issues related to economic and community development. These classes are offered both in-person and online. 🤝 In addition, RCAP works with local officials and municipal leaders to implement comprehensive community and economic development initiatives. We aim to support equitable development that benefits all residents, community-based organizations, small businesses, and local entities with limited access to economic opportunity. Last week, RCAP Solutions was delighted to participate in the Worcester Senior Center's Valentine's Day celebration! ❤️ We provided information about our Intergenerational HomeShare Pilot Program in collaboration with the Worcester Community Connections Coalition of YOU, Inc., an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation. The pilot program, which is focused on gauging interest among senior homeowners in providing affordable housing opportunities for Worcester-area graduate students, is made possible thanks to a generous $10,000 grant from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation.
