Earlier this month, the National Association of Counties (NACo), the National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International (NCBA CLUSA), and the Rural Community Assistance Partnership Incorporated (RCAP) convened the Rural Network – a coalition of organizations working with underserved communities – in Washington, D.C., for the 2025 Rural Innovation Summit! Brian D. Scales, our President & CEO, represented the RCAP network and introduced keynote speaker Senator Amy Klobuchar. Additional featured speakers included; Representative Angie Craig; Matt Chase, CEO/Executive Director of NACo; and Doug O'Brien, President & CEO of NCBA CLUSA. The Rural Network members engaged in thoughtful discussions on the challenges facing small communities and opportunities to address them through federal funding. Topics included capacity building, infrastructure, housing, small businesses, and more. On his flight home to The Bay State, Brian coincidentally sat next to Senator Elizabeth Warren! They had an impromptu conversation about the RCAP network's collective efforts, highlighting our impact administering water, wastewater, and solid waste solutions, as well as efforts to implement comprehensive economic development initiatives. #RISDC25 #RuralMatters #RCAPRuralResources

NEXT WEEK! RCAP Solutions, Cavanaugh, and Kunkel Water Efficiency Consulting are hosting a two-part instructional training on April 16 & 23, 2025 for water utilities in Pennsylvania. RCAP Solutions, the Rural Community Assistance Partnership Incorporated (RCAP), and the NOWRA National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association are hosting a two-part instructional training on April 23 & 24, 2025 regarding Decentralized System Operation and Maintenance in New Hampshire. This event will be taking place in-person at the Courtyard by Marriott Nashua (2200 Southwood Drive, Nashua, NH 03063). Wednesday lunch will be provided thanks to our generous event sponsor, Everett J. Prescott Inc.!
