After a decade on the bench, Chief Business Court Judge Louis A. Bledsoe, III retired on December 31, 2024. A Charlotte native and Harvard Law graduate, Judge Bledsoe shaped North Carolina’s business law through nearly 500 published judicial opinions and orders of significance. Known for his fairness, mentorship, and dedication to the legal profession, he leaves a lasting impact on the Business Court.
