⭐RAYBIOREAD 📖⭐ A recent study reveals that the enzyme METTL1 plays a critical role in prostate cancer progression. METTL1 modifies tRNA molecules, resulting in the production of tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) that promote oncogenesis and immune evasion. These tsRNAs help cancer cells proliferate and avoid detection by the immune system. METTL1 catalyzes the methylation of tRNA at the N7 position of guanosine (m7G), which is crucial for the stability and function of these tsRNAs. New research published in Nature shows that human endoderm stem cells (hEnSCs) can effectively treat acute liver failure (ALF) by reducing liver inflammation and injury in animal models. These cells modulate immune responses, shifting macrophages to an anti-inflammatory state and inhibiting harmful interferon signaling through cystatin SN (CST1).
