Severe Weather Update 3/3/2025?- RavenVolt Inc, An ABM Company This past weekend, a storm system delivered some much-needed rain and snow to California. Today, this system is expected to arrive in the Four Corners and Front Range of the Rockies, with strong winds that will affect much of the country over the next few days. The highest gusts will be across the Plains, the Tennessee Valley, and southern Appalachians.?Dozens of states will be affected by wind gusts that will cause an increased risk of fires, limited visibility in dry areas, and widespread power outages. Tuesday through Wednesday morning, an outbreak of severe weather from Texas into the Mississippi Valley and some areas of the South may experience localized wind gusts up to 100 mph and tornadoes. The storm and winds should reach the I-95 corridor and East Coast on Wednesday. This system will bring rain and warmer temperatures to areas with heavy snow, causing a quick melt-off and risk of flooding from Upstate New York and northern New England into Wednesday night. Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia may receive enough rain to risk flooding, with many streams and rivers remaining at high levels from February floods. Those traveling this week should be alert for airport delays and flight cancellations. Stay tuned to local weather in your areas of interest, and stay safe!
