A local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) asked us to provide #SurveyingServices as part of a preservation project for the historic Oak Hill Cemetery in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This cemetery is the final resting place of many veterans including Nathan Hatch, a Revolutionary War veteran who settled in Wisconsin. We performed the services pro bono, leveraging our unmanned aircraft systems (#UAS) photogrammetry technology to produce low-altitude, high-resolution orthorectified imagery for the site. This imagery, along with data provided by others and paper records from Oak Hill Cemetery, will be used to help create an online interactive map of the cemetery, linking virtual grave sites to the available historical data.
