The Rappahannock River Roundtable is a strategic partnership of stakeholders dedicated to land and water conservation, community outreach and education, and capacity building throughout the entire Rappahannock River Watershed. The Roundtable is a collaborative of organizations working to accelerate the pace of water quality improvement and pollution reduction guided by the Virginia Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP), the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL), and many local TMDL implementation plans.

Our 4th annual Rappahannock River Symposium at Woolen Mill in Fredericksburg, brought together over 150 attendees to discuss collaborative efforts to protect the watershed. ???? Key highlights included updates on conservation projects, funding for tree-planting in underserved areas, and new riparian buffer plans. Virginia DEQ Director Mike Rolband announced over $100,000 in funding for local best management practices. With the support of multiple grants, including $300,000 from the Arbor Day Foundation, projects will focus on climate resilience and ecosystem restoration, particularly on Rappahannock Tribe lands.
