They talked about Theresa’s mixed media art show, Powers of the Divine Feminine, which includes 31 pieces honoring important women nominated by people in her community – including one for Emmy’s grandmother. Emmy also spoke about our gender-inclusive services for domestic violence survivors here at Raphael House of Portland, including our emergency shelter and ongoing wraparound support, along with our culture-shifting violence prevention work in local schools. We’re sending lots of gratitude to Kimberlee Bouska of Addison Avenue Investment Services and the First Tech Federal Credit Union community for supporting domestic violence survivors with 100 hygiene care kits! Kimberlee has been a dedicated Raphael House of Portland partner since 2019, donating critical items and bringing together her clients and colleagues to assemble the care packages in honor of International Women’s Day. She made sure to include our most needed items like full-size bottles of shampoo, products for Black and African American hair, and hygiene supplies geared toward men, along with special self care items like face masks. Thank you for rallying your network to support survivors!
