Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital helps kids and families transition from the acute care hospital to home. Advances in medicine are saving more children's lives. However, many of these children have medically complex conditions which requires comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation. Our innovative Care Beyond the Bedside approach ensures that the children we treat are up and out of their beds every day, accelerating their progress to make a successful transition home.

#throwbackthursday to when 16 seniors from @North Technical High School's health sciences program toured Ranken Jordan! ?? These students are enrolled in a program that works with them to attain their CNA certification upon graduation. When asked, more than half the students in the room wanted to pursue a future in pediatric health including labor and delivery nurse, NICU nurse and pediatrician. This was the first visit for these students at a pediatric facility and the program's first at Ranken Jordan. We are honored to show these great minds what #CareBeyondTheBedside looks like. After a traumatic event or diagnosis, where do kids go when they leave the hospital? The journey doesn’t end when they walk out those doors. For families who don’t have a hospital like Ranken Jordan nearby, the next steps to care for their children can be daunting. Recent research has shared what post-acute care options exist for medically-complex children. But, there is more work to be done to help families and providers navigate this critical phase of recovery. Our very own Dr. Nick Holekamp is helping to close the gaps in pediatric post-acute care, and calling upon fellow healthcare providers to collaborate and ensure no family is left to navigate their unique and challenging journey alone. That’s why at Ranken Jordan, all of our staff dress up and cheer on our young patients during the annual Halloween parade. Henry knows how to throw a birthday bash! ?? As a former patient at Ranken Jordan, Henry received invaluable help and support during his toughest times. Now, he continues to make incredible strides in his recovery, channeling his determination into helping those who once helped him. The McLean Illinois community came together to support Helping Henry's Heroes. ?? The Decade Club honored 17 team members who’ve served 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service to Ranken Jordan, including Sally Katz, who reached an incredible 30 years! ?? Our 79 Decade Club members represent a collective 1,253 years of service, helping young patients live their best lives. This year we also celebrate 20 years at our location in Maryland Heights. The most tenured Decade Club members have been with us since our “House” days when we were a pediatric nursing home on Ladue Road. Now, we’re a licensed hospital providing renowned pediatric transitional care, blazing the path for Care Beyond the Bedside?. ??? Thank you to all our Decade Club members for your dedication!
