The November 25th issue of Mass Market Retailers features the first of our RangeMe Top Brands charts, in which we will highlight the 50 brands garnering the most interest on RangeMe from buyers actively seeking new products. This is a leading indicator of the types of products we can expect to see on store shelves in the coming months and years. Each month, in its Research section online and in select print issues, MMR will feature the RangeMe Top brands in one of the following categoies which will rotate each month: Health & Beauty Care, Food & Beverage and General Merchandise. Brand selection is determined by the number of approved submissions from RangeMe’s Immediate Opportunity campaigns. These are campaigns hosted by retailers via RangeMe to meet a specific need – typically category-focused or around a theme such as sustainability, private label or supplier diversity. More than 350 campaigns are held throughout the year, drawing over 40,000 submissions and 9,000 approvals from retailers. All RangeMe Starter, Premium and Pro subscribers can submit products to Immediate Opportunities. Also factored into the selections are positive buyer actions on RangeMe Brand Profile pages – such as sample requests, messaging activity, meeting requests, and product saves. Six new suppliers will hit Co-op shelves this month following the UK-based convenience retailer’s search for values-led, innovative food and drink businesses to participate in its mentoring and support program, the Apiary. Co-op teamed up with RangeMe to help streamline the process of discovering these new brands. The producers will all see their brands stocked in more than 100 Co-op food stores as they become the third wave of suppliers to benefit through Co-op’s Apiary Incubator program, which looks for suppliers with a unique point of difference, who are values and purpose driven and promote further diversity and inclusion within the convenience retailer’s range. The successful suppliers receive tailored mentoring, insight and advice on all aspects of the product journey and participate in a supplier community network which facilities learning and growth together.
