?? ?? Big news, Maine friends! The Maine Department of Labor sent out an update about Maine PFML today. The online portal for employers will open January 6th. At that time employers will be able to register their business (per each FEIN) and designate their payroll providers. ?? Hard to think that the new year is just a few short weeks away! Employers are often tasked with a lot at the end of the year, and 2024 is no different. One of the updates Maine employers are preparing for in 2025, in addition to the Maine PFML, is a minimum wage increase. For the state, the basic minimum wage is increasing from $14.15 per hour to $14.65. For employers in Portland and Rockland it's going up to $15.50.
