Randolph County Government exists to elevate the everyday lives of citizens through providing quality, essential services. Services areas include; general government, public safety, economic and physical development, environmental protection, human services, and cultural and recreational services. Characterized by gently rolling hills, river valleys, and forest land, Randolph County is the 11th largest and 19th most populous county in North Carolina. The municipalities of Archdale, Asheboro, Franklinville, Liberty, Ramseur, Randleman, Seagrove, Staley, and Trinity are within Randolph County, with Asheboro being the county seat. Randolph County is located centrally between Raleigh, NC (the state capital) and Charlotte, NC (the state's largest city). Randolph County is proud to be the home of the North Carolina State Zoological Park, the Richard Petty Museum, the Uwharrie National Forest, the North Carolina Pottery Center, Victory Junction (an organization providing camping experiences for chronically ill children, founded by NASCAR's famed Petty family), and Toyota Battery Manufacturing, North Carolina.
