The patient presented radiographically with severe bone loss around Implant #14 and tooth #15, heavy calculus noted on distal portion of Implant, moderate subgingival calculus noted on mesial of #15. Clinical examination shows localized 4mm to 8mm pocket depths on dention #12-#15. Tx Planned: For teeth: localized SRP UL D4342 and Arestin for 6mm pockets (#15-ML and #15-MB). Use Piezon L & R instruments, American Eagle Scalers. For Implant: Apply Hyben-X debridement agent (to loosen plaque off implant threads and dessicate calculus adhered to implant body) – leave subgingival for minimum 30 seconds, use PI Max Instrument to remove subgingival calculus on Implant, follow with Airflow for supragingival and subgingival (up to 4mm) plaque removal, then follow with Perioflow tip for subgingival 4-8mm plaque removal on Implant. During Treatment: Take radiographs to determine successful removal of calculus.
