If there is a will there is a way- On August 24,2024, the members of LTS, accompanied by two teachers Miss Beema Rawal and Sir Sandeep Singh visited the Suchetna Social Service Centre in Kathgodam. We were warmly welcomed by the centre’s members, who ushered us into their impeccably organized facility. The purpose of our visit was to donate a collection of gently used clothes, meticulously sorted and packed by the students. As we handed over the clothes, the centre’s staff expressed heartfelt gratitude for our initiative, emphasizing the significance of our contribution. The clothes, ranging from warm winter wear to vibrant everyday attire, would soon find new owners among the community’s most vulnerable members. The simple act of kindness, we realized, would bring comfort and dignity to those who needed it the most. But our visit was more than a donation drive – it was an eye-opening experience that introduced us to the centre’s remarkable endeavours to foster peace, harmony and sustainability. We were impressed by their innovative initiatives including interfaith dialogues, promoting local farming practices, and empowering adolescent girls and children through village development projects. As we learned about their tireless efforts, we felt inspired to contribute to creating a better world. The experience was a powerful reminder that collective action can indeed make a significant difference, and we felt a renewed sense of purpose to strive for a more harmonious and sustainable future. We are grateful to our principal Rev. Sr. Manjusha and school administration for providing us with this opportunity, and to our teachers for their guidance and support throughout this enriching experience. Their encouragement and dedication in shaping responsible citizens have made lasting impact on our lives. (Message from LTSers).
