Helping people affected by spinal cord injuries thrive.

关于我们

Rally4Reilly & Friends is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2017 to address gaps in aid for kids, individuals and families affected by spinal cord injuries. Our inspiration was and continues to be little Reilly who was paralyzed from the shoulders down when he was just 23 months old. Our mission is to organize fundraising events, mobilize do-gooders of all kinds, and facilitate various funding opportunities — to help those affected by spinal cord injuries with programs to purchase products and services that improve comfort, independence, and quality of life.

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are more than just buzzwords—they are essential for creating a society where individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI) can thrive. People with SCIs face unique challenges in accessibility, employment, healthcare, and representation, making DEI efforts critical in ensuring they have equal opportunities and are valued members of their communities. ??????????????????: ???????????????????????????? ?????????????? True diversity means recognizing and valuing individuals of all abilities, including those with SCIs. When people with disabilities are represented in workplaces, media, and leadership positions, it challenges stereotypes and promotes inclusion. Seeing individuals with SCIs excelling in various fields sends a powerful message: disability does not define potential. ????????????: ???????????????? ???????? ???????????????? Equity ensures that individuals with SCIs have access to the resources, accommodations, and opportunities they need to succeed. While equality gives everyone the same tools, equity recognizes that people have different starting points and provides additional support where necessary. This includes: ???????????????????? ???????????????????? Ensuring buildings, transportation, and technology accommodate all employees. Healthcare Access: Advocating for comprehensive medical care, including rehabilitation, mental health support, and assistive devices. ?????????????????? & ???????????????????? Creating pathways for career advancement and higher education through scholarships, mentorship, and job training programs. ??????????????????: ???????????????? ???????????? ?????????? ???????????????? ?????????????? Inclusion goes beyond accessibility—it’s about belonging. People with SCIs should have the opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of life, from social activities to professional settings, without feeling like an afterthought. Inclusive policies and practices help ensure that individuals with SCIs are not just accommodated but truly welcomed and valued. ?????? ???? ?????????????? DEI efforts create a world where individuals with SCIs are not limited by physical barriers or societal misconceptions. By prioritizing accessibility, removing obstacles, and promoting representation, we foster a more inclusive, innovative, and compassionate society. When people with SCIs are given equitable opportunities, everyone benefits. Let’s work together to ensure that disability inclusion is not an afterthought but a fundamental part of DEI initiatives. https://lnkd.in/grdz_xw Link in Bio
