I was honored to join?Jenny Cavnar and Monique Billings?live on the Warriors Women’s Empowerment Month game broadcast to highlight the impactful community work?Rakuten?and the?Golden State Warriors?are doing together. Eight years ago, we introduced our Rakuten badge on the Warriors jersey, and from the beginning, our partnership has been rooted in shared values—including a deep commitment to uplifting women in our communities. A cornerstone of that commitment is the Future Leaders mentorship program, which we co-lead with?Girls Inc. of Alameda County?and the Warriors. Now in its 7th season, we've evolved the program to create lasting impact by empowering the next generation of female leaders with hands-on professional development, mentorship, and invaluable career exposure. This weekend, we kick-off the program with a two-day event featuring a professional shopping experience, a panel discussion with inspiring female leaders from the Bay Area, and a job shadowing opportunity at the Warriors game on March 15th. I’m grateful to the Warriors for inviting me to be part of this conversation and for their ongoing support in making a difference in our community. A big thank you to Jenny and Monique for leading such a thoughtful discussion while also calling the game as part of an all-female talent-led broadcast. They crushed it!
