Raising The Year! What Will You E.A.R. this Year? Whatever you effectively Extract, on that you will Act! We live in a very noisy time in society. It’s so noisy that we are constantly bombarded with ear clutter. It can be difficult to extract the Good from the Great, the Great from the Greater, the Better from the Best and the Magnificent from the Mess. My first car that my father purchased for me was a 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88. (Can I Get a Witness?) The radio was one that had numbers with a red line that had to be in the exact place to listen to the station I wanted to hear. ? Focal Point: To listen to my station of choice I had to 1.????Intentionally decide what I wanted to hear. 2.????Utilize my senses of sight and touch to set the dial properly 3.????Still and steady myself to get it just right! In order to E.A.R. effectively, it took time, focus and effort. If E.A.R.ring becomes a drive-by activity, we have diminished relationships, direction and lack the ability to be fully present. How are your relationships? Where are you going and who’s truly with you? Do you have the ability to be fully present? Throughout my vocation, the comment I’ve probably heard the most other than Thank You has been Thank You for Listening. How do they know? Because I gave them their list back. I was intentional, utilized all my senses and was present. I gave them their list back. You do realize that listening starts with list… Too many, particularly those in the arena of leadership, development and growth often work more to check off boxes without ever fully being in the box. Therefore, we keep circling back to incomplete circles and repeatedly falling into the fundamental pitfalls of ready, set, but never go. Whatever you effectively Extract on that you will Act! The ear itself is a three-chamber organ. ?What you believe you have heard passes through the outer and middle ear. It does not begin to process until the inner ear, in which the waves of sound stimulate the brain and begin to effectively Extract for Act. How many things have you shaken your head to or even said yes, but it wasn’t an actual sound, it was just static that didn’t cling! How do I effectively Extract for act? Glad you asked! This is how we do it! At RTB we assist those who want to truly develop, grow and move the needle. Just like the ear we invoke the three levels of listening: Level I- What did you hear? Leader Lift... What Do I Need To Let Go-In Order To Go.... Keep Raising!

Raising The Year! One of the primary pitfalls of development, growth and change...Is trying to grow too many things and change too many things, particularly in a short time frame. What if you could master one thing that would have a triple ripple affect in multiple areas? Let's Raise! Question-Where is the seed of change? Question-Where is the axis of development? Question-Where is the pivot point of growth? Answer-It starts with what you ear! Your ear is the chamber of change and the launch pad of growth! If you can cl(ear) the guard rails of your ear, you purge your h(ear)t and extinguish your f(ear)s! So then if faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. All hearing has to come pass the ear. Let's go deeper! The word most mentioned in the first chapter of the Bible, Genesis 1 is Earth. God then began to speak to the Earth and the Earth began to produce what God said...Just in case you are not paying close attention... Earth starts with Ear...What will the earth of you develop, grow and produce this year? Whatever it will be, it will start with your Ear! You do realize that ear is in Y(ear)... It is imperative for all of us, particularly those in leadership to ear well: if your ear is clogged your sight will be foggy, your smell will be suspicious and your touch will derail. Many of us have to erase old tapes to develop new ears because current state has been manifested by our history. Some of us have to be very selective about the tapes we play because guarding your heart is intentional daily work that we must pay attention to in order to shift our trajectory. Therefore what should you do (ear)ly this year? Proverbs 2 declares Turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— Therefore what is your one thing you should focus on early?
