With your support, last year RaiseUp Families served 76 families –?that's 91 adults and 148 children. Families like Tianca, a single mom, and her two kids. Tianca was working a 9 to 5 job but struggling to get by. After just two months in the RaiseUp Families HandUp program, she got a new job with more benefits. Now, Tianca has paid down debt and started a savings account for herself and both of her children. Above all, Tianca says she feels happy she's able to spend more time with her children without the stress of wondering how to pay bills. For the past two years, 100% of our HandUp program graduates have remained employed at the one- and two-year marks. Alumni and parents like Lakeisha, a single mom of one daughter. We met Lakeisha when she was struggling to manage monthly household expenses due to working a nine-to-five minimum wage job. Parents who successfully graduate from our nine-month HandUp Program are eligible for two years of support through our AfterCare Program. This year, we welcomed 76 parents into AfterCare where they continue to ground their families in self-sufficiency practices. Parents like Jaquaya, a recent widow and single mom to one daughter.
