We are so proud to accept this PAIR award from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) for the work we are doing in Indigenous relations. We are dedicated to advancing economic reconciliation through our efforts in building Indigenous relations. A few takeaways from the event: 1. Before reconciliation comes truth. The true histories and facts of this country must be reckoned with, every day of the year, if we are to move forward. 2. Be patient in your reconciliation journey, but also be BOLD and take risks. Change doesn't happen without taking risks. 3. Involve Indigenous stakeholders and get their feedback at every step of your journey. 4. There are inspiring stories throughout this country that underline the resilience and talent of Indigenous peoples. 5. Tony Tootoosis is a stellar champion grass dancer and hip-hop artist! Congrats to all the PAIR recipients this year - you are energizing us to continue in this meaningful work.! Want to know more about our journey towards reconciliation? Every year, we take time to come together and celebrate the work we do. As a fully remote and global organization, we intentionally make time to connect, celebrate, and share. It reminds us that we’re each an essential part of the big picture and that, together, we’re building something amazing for our clients and candidates. This year’s All-Site, "Moonlanding," was a blast! (Do you like the pun?) From insightful training sessions, to an inspiring awards ceremony, and some fun and lighthearted games, the day was packed with learnings, connections, and, yes, “wasting time” together—because that’s part of the fun! Special thanks to our People and Culture team, and to our Admin team for bringing this galactic event to life and huge congratulations to all our Raise Impact Award winners! Your contributions inspire us all, as we work to connect more people in meaningful work. Today, we pay tribute to Indigenous veterans whose courage and sacrifice are profound and enduring. The poem "I Love This Land," by Stacey LaForme, former Chief of the Mississaugas of Credit First Nation, is written in the voice of an Indigenous soldier who is speaking to a fellow soldier after returning to Canada, and captures this unique experience. Here is a verse from that poem: "You were and always shall be my brother We were all the same color wrapped in the flag of this nation My blood flowed as freely as yours, mixed in the field's one could not be distinguished from the other Yet when we came home, when the nation's colors were removed Difference became apparent, not between you and me, God willing never But in the eyes of those for whom we laid down our lives." We invite you to read this poem in its entirety and explore resources to deepen your understanding of the contributions of Indigenous veterans, like this one: https://hubs.ly/Q02XnB6-0. #IndigenousVeteransDay #Remembrance #HonourAndRespect

We’re thrilled to announce that Kate Siklosi, PhD Siklosi, Director of Partnerships at Raise, is a panelist today at the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business, Indigenous Relations Forum and PAIR Awards in Calgary! Our journey toward reconciliAction began in 2018, when we made a formalized commitment to invest in Indigenous relations and build sustainable, collaborative, and mutually respectful relationships and programs with Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island. You can read more about our journey here: https://lnkd.in/g-mXDrBF Today, we’re honored to see our efforts recognized by CCIB and the PAIR Council, as we proudly accept the Bronze Accreditation! The path so far has been one of learning, unlearning, and challenging ourselves, our clients, and our practices. We know there’s still a long road ahead, but today, we celebrate how far we’ve come. We’re excited to share our PAIR experience, hear from peers on their journeys toward reconciliation, and continue learning and being inspired. #Indigenousrelations #reconciliation #reconciliaction #meaningfulwork
