What a journey... ??
Julien joined Raise 2 years ago. He started as a Support Agent and remained in that role for 6 months.
In a very short time, he had mastered the entire customer journey, understood their challenges, and quickly became one of the most capable team members in assisting them.
He personally invested himself beyond his job description, initiated numerous operational changes, helped us identify weaknesses in our system, and, thanks to his passion for cryptocurrency, shared valuable knowledge with the team, bringing significant added value to the company.
He earned his legitimacy to grow within the company through hard work, initiative, and his ability to solve problems that helped the company move forward faster.
After his time at a Support Agent, he became a Payment Manager, helping us find new PSP partners—and once again, he exceeded my expectations.
Beyond securing new partnerships, he renegotiated contracts, optimized our cashier settings, helped us to target new geos and once again went beyond his job description by helping us find new banking partners.
Later, he also took the initiative to dive into financial statements and renegotiate contracts with service providers himself, reducing the company's ongoing costs in the long run.
He was already a CFO in his mind long before I even considered or acknowledged it.
I took him with me to his first iFX EXPO in Cyprus in June 2024, and once again, he surprised me with his adaptability. He built new professional relationships and earned credibility in the industry, even among veterans and senior executives with years of experience.
You know, even before Raise, when I was managing teams, I had this tendency to push people to reach their full potential, to take them out of their comfort zone so they could surpass themselves and grow professionally.
Sometimes, I succeeded. Other times, I think I contributed to burnout.
Since then, I’ve realized that career growth and professional advancement are not necessary for everyone’s happiness. There are more important things in life, and each person can find fulfillment in their own way, even without climbing the corporate ladder.
Because of this, the message I now share with my entire team is:
"Be who you want to be. Explore different roles within the company and shape yourself into the person you aspire to become. If you step beyond your job description, I will understand the path you want to take and help you reach your destination faster."
In other words, make noise, kick the door wide open, and leave me no choice but to help you walk through it.
In January 2025, he joined us for his second iFX EXPO in Dubai as our CFO.
Today, Julien is one of Raise’s most valuable assets, and I am incredibly grateful for the trust and dedication he has given to RaiseFX and Raisemyfunds.
