Health Starts at Home ?? In Louis Terry, health and wellness are more than just checkups—they are a shared commitment to a stronger future. Through health documentation, parasite and anemia testing, hygiene education, and home wellness visits, the community members are impowered to track their own health progress and that of their families. By equipping families with the knowledge and tools to improve their well-being, we’re not just treating symptoms—we’re building a foundation for long-term health, resilience, and dignity. Clean water is just the beginning. Wellness flows from education, prevention, and the power of community. ???? #HealthForAll #CleanWaterWellness #RainforestFlow #CommunityStrength Maggie McDow

We inspire indigenous people to become stewards of their health, their environment, and their future.
关于我们
Rainforest Flow is committed to helping indigenous communities remain vibrant and independent by working with them to build and maintain their own sustainable clean water and sanitation systems. Combined with health education, technical/vocational training, and monitoring, we can guarantee participation, and thus the sustainability of these water, sanitation and health (WASH) projects. This greatly contributes to the health of these communities, enabling them to flourish, and protect themselves from outside economic interests and cultural erosion. Since 2003, Rainforest Flow Founder and Executive Director, Nancy Santullo, has raised over 3.5 million dollars to successfully implement four WASH projects, serving 1200 villagers in the Manu Biosphere Reserve and National Park in southeastern Peru. Manu Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered one of the world’s most important protected tropical areas. Rainforest Flow video: Rainforest Flow implements efficient, low-maintenance water and sanitation systems while facilitating the development of hygiene and maintenance practices to produce sustainable long-term change. Each family participates in the building of the water and sanitation infrastructure, and their home sink. We work at the local, regional, and national levels to ensure project sustainability while building partnerships with community organizations, local municipalities, health, and social service agencies, and ministries to ensure lasting benefits. Rainforest Flow is a 501(c)(3) public charity registered in the United States.

?? On #InternationalWomensDay, we honor Indigenous rainforest women—guardians of tradition, protectors of the Earth, and leaders of future generations. Elizabet, of Matsigenka and Huachipari descent, lives in the native community of Huacaria. Though slight in stature, she is mighty in her vision—both for her family of five, ranging from ages 5 to 22, and for her community. For 18 years, she has served as a dedicated water committee member, ensuring access to clean water for those around her. Her home sink, built in 2006 with river stones, remains a testament to her care and resourcefulness. A talented artist, she crafts stunning necklaces, handbags, and baskets using materials from the surrounding forests. Over the years, she has flourished, and we love seeing her thrive—supported by clean water and a home bathroom that keeps her family healthy and happy on their ancestral land. #rainforestflow #IndigenousPeople #cleanwaterforall ??
