    GOOD STUFF INCOMING! Shout out to call female founders! The amazing Ashley Goluo?lu and I have decided to launch Grin & Chair It a female founders club for video games (and associated industries). There are a lot of amazing companies like She Plays Games, Women in Games and more that cater to women working in the industry, but we wanted to start something specifically for female founders. Grin & Chair It is all about action, what can we do to actively support female founders? Legal advice? Business advice? Passing leads? Sharing red flags? Going to big industry events together? We are launching a go-fund-me-campaign today, the day before International Women's day to help fund the launch of Grin and Chair It. We are aiming to raise a modest ￡1000 to cover set-up costs and to get us underway. Every year, the #GDC State of the Industry Report is released in late January, offering a snapshot of where the games industry stands; its challenges, its progress, and the trends shaping its future. That’s why February is the perfect time to dive in. In the lead-up to GDC in March, we’ll dedicate this month to unpacking key findings from the latest report. And today, we begin with one of the most important topics: ?????????????????? ???? ???????????? - ???????????????? & ????????????????????. The report shows continued progress in gender diversity: ? 32% of game developers are now women or non-binary, up from 29% in 2024 and 24% in 2022. ? LGBTQIA+ representation has also increased, with 25% of developers identifying as LGBTQIA+, a particularly strong shift among younger generations, where nearly half of 18–24-year-old developers identify as such. These numbers represent more than just percentages, they reflect a broader shift in who gets to shape the future of games. More diverse teams lead to: ? Greater innovation: Different perspectives fuel new mechanics, narratives, and gameplay experiences. ? A stronger connection to players: The global games audience is diverse; the industry should reflect that. ? Healthier work environments: When marginalized voices are represented at all levels, workplace culture improves for everyone. Yet, this progress does not exist in a vacuum. In the U.S., Trump’s administration is actively dismantling diversity protections, rolling back safeguards for marginalized communities and pushing anti-DEI narratives. These policies create real risks - not just for individuals, but for companies and industries that have worked to build more inclusive spaces. So, as we recognize this moment of progress, we must also ask: How do we ensure this momentum continues?     Over the past few months, we've been working on an amazing coloring/puzzle game called LiteByte and as of today, I'm thrilled to announce that we are now live on the App Store, Google Play and Steam. And the great news is, we debuted on the charts. We are currently #40 on the App Store under Apps -> Entertainment -> Paid. This is an extremely special game for me. In the past, I've help launch games that have been really profitable and even a game that even help facilitate a major acquisition but I've never helped launch a game that's so relaxing and fun. It's not even a game per se, you just zen out, color and listen to music and let the eye candy do it's magic to your brain. It is completely mood altering. We had the pleasure of working with some amazing partners, Liithos and Rainbow Unicorn Games to build this genre defining experience. Athena Peters thank you for bring us together to form Voltron. Michael Mumbauer thank you for the vision. I'm also blessed to do another game with my brilliant co-founder Daniel Parker.
