Women make up over 50% of the workforce in the United States. And yet they are only 10% of the construction workforce. I am proud to be a part of the movement to change that. Today, I had the absolute honor of introducing California’s first ever female Lieutenant Governor, Eleni Kounalakis, at the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange/Construction Industry Education Foundation’s Brunch and Resolution Signing honoring #WomenInConstruction Week. As if that wasn’t enough, I got to hear from Dr. Giovanna Brasfield and Jennifer Todd M.L.S. AND preview a bit of Jennifer’s docu-series, Breaking Barriers! With all these amazing powerhouse women working on the cause, I know that statistic is going to rise much faster than the current projection! #WomenBuild
