Now this is how you foster strong culture and business outcomes without an everyday office.

From the federal workers situation to mass layoffs in tech... it's a bloodbath out there. So my team and I came up with an idea... What if we opened up a digital co-working room specifically for job seekers? A place where people can... ? vent; ? exchange ideas; ? recommend roles; ? offer tips; ? simply be there for each other; ? and maybe even meet their next employer. Some context... As many of you know, the Radious team is fully remote (with access to our IRL spaces as-needed, of course). On the days that we're virtual, we use a tool called Jumproom for app sharing, taps on the proverbial shoulder, meetings, and day to day co-working to stay connected — even if we're just working silently. Earlier this week, we thought it might be nice to share one of our digital rooms externally for folks in the community, specifically those on the job hunt. So we're going to do it. It'll be free to join. We'll be happy if it can help even just one person — hopefully more though. Every day I log onto LinkedIn and wax poetic about the value of remote work. But let me tell you, in-person time can be magical too. I believe that #autonomy is foundational for work satisfaction and productivity, without question. But that's not necessarily synonymous with #WFH. Freedom comes from having choices. And WFH is just one option. Some people need music to focus. Others like background chatter. Yet others require silence. Introverts may enjoy more solo time than extroverts. Some may want to work from home 100% of the time. Others may like to work among others sometimes (but not be forced into it). Everyone has different needs and priorities, and that diversity is a beautiful thing. Let's embrace it. Below is my favourite shot from our latest #RadWorkday. As folks were wrapping up their conversations and getting ready to go home, I snapped this pic of Peter Harrison and Nicole Kerr having what looked like a hell of a great time. Getting to see the deepening of relationships and spirited knowledge exchange like this makes me feel like we're really doing something right with Radious. "Earn the commute" is so 2024. This year, eliminate the commute by offering employees collaborative workspaces RIGHT in their neighborhoods... A big reason I started Radious was to make collaboration and work/life separation more accessible. Which is why, our spaces are concentrated in residential areas and suburbs — close to where people live. ?? It saves time, fossil fuels, and lowers barriers for folks. Instead of making people drive downtown all the way from the burbs, let your teammates choose from a network of close-to-home offices and meeting spaces — distributed all across town. That's what I call a win. Give your team access to book close-to-home workspaces on an as-needed basis. DM me to learn more about our team memberships and fractional leases.

They say there's no one-size-fits-all in the workplace. I actually think they're wrong. There is one... It's choice. Giving people the freedom to choose what's right for them. It's trusting employees to choose wisely from a menu of options you offer them. This is the silver bullet. Simple but not easy. Why? Because you need to have built a foundation of trust in the first place. If you don't have that, it's very difficult to let go and feel confident that people will choose wisely and deliver (even if they do, you might not see it). But giving people the freedom to choose what's best for their work style unlocks work satisfaction, intrinsic motivation, and, ultimately, productivity.
