Mentorship and advocacy have always been at the core of my journey. Seeing programs like the MIW/NABLF Engineering Mentorship Program grow is a testament to the progress we’re making in uplifting women in technical roles. I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to mentor Lucretia Lee-Arceneaux alongside Lou Taylor (4Remotes), who is herself an incredible engineer and now together we are all mentoring our new mentee, Rachel Haggerty who is the studio engineer for The Sean Hannity show. Rachel and Lucretia are both accomplished and incredible engineers. It’s inspiring to watch the next generation of engineers stepping into their power. Engineering is more than technology, it’s about people, community, and ensuring that the doors we walk through remain open for those who follow. To every woman pursuing a career in engineering: You are not an imposter. You earned your place. San Francisco's public radio and NPR member station, 88.5 KQED(FM), is using GeoBroadcast Solutions' MaxxCasting single-frequency network nodes to help fill in signal coverage in the East Bay area of Contra Costa County. The geography and terrain of the East Bay Hills, the first range of mountains east of the San Francisco Bay, cause shadowing and signal multipath as some reach as high as 2,180 feet above sea level. The four nodes are licensed as boosters and are located atop Vollmer Peak in Orinda, Rocky Ridge in San Ramon, Wiedemann Hill in San Ramon and Briones Peak in Concord. I was able to gather some Longley-Rice modeling of the station's coverage now with the nodes in coverage for Radio World: #antennas #boosters #sanfrancisco #radio #engineering #sfn https://lnkd.in/e6rqcgfa
