We took a trip to the future at our Strategy & Goals Meeting ?
As part of our Strategy & Goals workshop earlier this week, we had every Flyer (employee) draft a headline from the future…what does it say about Radio Flyer? The team? Our accomplishments? Our challenges? ? This exercise drove the team to: ?? Think BIG about our shared future ?? ?Develop new ideas to grow the business ?? Creatively build on each other’s idea ?? Articulate an aspirational outcome ?? By thinking far ahead into the future, we can shift our mindset to more creatively address today’s problems & challenges to achieve breakthroughs. ? So, you’re hearing it here first…in the future you may see “Radio Flyer Rolls First Wagon onto the Moon” or “Radio Flyer Launches Autonomous Flyer Drones” hit newsstands. As I like to say, the sky is the limit. ?? ? What do you think of this exercise – would it build excitement and creativity with your team?

With Black History Month happening now and Women’s History Month on the horizon, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it really means to stay committed to DEI. While some are stepping away from it, at Radio Flyer, we’re choosing to stay the course. Because this is who we are. For us, diversity, equity, and inclusion aren’t just initiatives…they’re a responsibility. They are part of our company’s values.?And they’re woven into everything we do. ? That’s why we’ve spent the last few years turning deep commitment into actual action: ? $60,000 in scholarships awarded to Black engineering students through our NSBE partnership ? Created more internship and career opportunities to help underrepresented talent succeed ? DEI training for all managers, ensuring inclusive hiring & leadership development ? Active partnerships with organizations like Chicago Scholars & HBCUs to build a more diverse talent pipeline ? Creating spaces for real conversations – from our Community Conversations series, to Book Clubs, to ERG-led events like the PRIDE ERG Lunch & Learn ? The reality? Progress isn’t always fast and definitely isn’t always easy. But that’s exactly why staying consistent matters – especially in a world that too often chooses to look the other way. ? I’m grateful to the entire team at Radio Flyer for committing to our vision of being a force of good and for helping us build something better, together. ? Let’s keep on rolling!
