KILLING RICHARD GLOSSIP (2017), directed and executive produced by?Joe Berlinger, made new headlines yesterday as death row inmate Richard Glossip’s murder conviction and death sentence has been tossed by SCOTUS, and a new trial ordered. This comes after almost three decades of advocacy for Glossip’s innocence, nine execution dates and three granted of stay executions. In 1997, Glossip was convicted for the murder of his former boss, motel owner Barry Van Treese, but has always maintained his innocence. The series, following Glossip’s legal team as they race to uncover new evidence to prove his innocence, has been extensively used by the defense team and the many advocates who believe Glossip was wrongfully convicted and has played a critical role in reversing the convictions and getting Glossip off death row.
