Yesterday, the Amicus O&M Cooperative retreat kicked off here in Atlanta! Amicus O&M is a member-owned cooperative that allows member-companies to leverage each other’s staff and expertise to provide excellent O&M services for portfolios of PV systems all over the country. Day 1 consisted of market analysis, field training tools, understanding risk, operational needs and requirements, and much more!

As solar arrays become a larger part of our landscapes, they also become a home, or a playground, for wildlife. Birds, rodents, and other animals can interact with solar infrastructure in ways that impact system performance and longevity. That's why checking for wildlife during an O&M inspection is crucial! ? Early detection of nests or burrowing can prevent damage to wiring and equipment. ? Protecting wildlife ensures compliance with environmental regulations and fosters sustainability. ? Proactive measures reduce downtime and unexpected repair costs.

If a tree falls on a solar array and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? While nature might throw its curveballs, our O&M team is there to keep the lights on and the energy flowing. Because in solar, the real question isn’t whether the tree made a noise, it’s how quickly we can get your array humming again!

We are excited to announce that Radiance?Solar has partnered?up with Mike Holt Enterprises and GoSprout.app to round out the Apprenticeship Training Program. Our VP of Training and Safety, Keith Craig, has been diligently working to make our Apprenticeship program come to life! Radiance now has two new custom-tailored Apprenticeship programs. One of the?programs is a 4 year Electrical Program and a 2 year Mechanical/Construction Program. As a company, we are willing to demonstrate our commitment?to the training program and our apprentices by purchasing the required textbooks for our apprentices each year who enter into the apprentice program. Radiance has also been promoting weekly Lunch and Learns to site superintendents and foremen once a week. Currently, the Lunch & Learns are taught by the VP of training and?members of the Quality Control Department. The superintendents will also have a textbook curriculum that is custom-tailored to enhance their knowledge of solar installation and site management. We are looking forward to seeing everyone's?progress in?the year 2025. Last week, our representative from the Department of Labor was able to come by our Operations Center to see our various training areas. A very special thank you to Keith for building our Apprenticeship program!
