?? Artificial intelligence revolutionizes radiotherapy! ? What if AI became an essential ally for radiotherapists? A new milestone has been reached with a study comparing eight AI (Artificial Intelligence) software programs for delineating organs-at-risk and lymph node areas. Conducted at the Institut de Cancérologie de Lorraine - ICL, this study paves the way for faster and more standardized practices. ?? The results speak for themselves: - Adult CT scans: Two AI programs achieved an overall average quality score above 2.0 on a 3-point scale (for all tested structures, organs-at-risk, and lymph node areas): Limbus AI (overall average score = 2.03 (0.16)) and MVision AI (overall average score = 2.13 (0.19)). When considering only organs-at-risk (OARs) in adults, only Limbus AI, TheraPanacea, MVision AI, and Radformation scored above 2. - Pediatric CT scans: MVision AI was the only program to achieve an overall average score above 2, with an average of 2.07 (0.19). When considering only OARs in children, only Limbus AI and MVision AI scored above 2. - Brain MRIs: TheraPanacea was the only program to achieve an average score above 2, for both brain delineation (2.75 (0.35)) and OARs (2.09 (0.19)). ?? A comparative analysis of technical aspects highlights the similarities and differences between the software: table illustrated. ?? Imagine a future where radiotherapists save precious time, reducing human variability and increasing treatment efficiency. This is exactly what these tools promise. ????
