In collaboration with our RAD team, they developed a strategic plan to enhance our medical staff recruitment and ensure that we have the best medical professionals at camp. ???? Throughout their study, they explored various recruitment channels, including hospital networks, medical volunteer groups and new opportunities to broaden our reach. What an incredible week! I had the privilege of traveling to Orange County, California, as part of the Grow Irish program to collaborate with RAD Camp a truly extraordinary organization that creates a space of joy, empowerment, and belonging for children and adults with disabilities. RAD Camp’s mission is inspiring. With three summer camp sessions each year, the need for dedicated volunteers, particularly nurses, is more pressing than ever. Worked with an incredible team,Louis Holbrook Mason Mishler and Liliana Lomeli. We contributed to the vital work of strengthening nurse recruitment efforts, ensuring that campers can experience the magic of camp. We focused on key areas: exploring innovative nurse recruitment strategies, developing a comprehensive outreach data base to engage more healthcare professionals and gathering insights from nurses to refine recruitment efforts and streamline processes. A Week of Learning, Growth, and Impact. This experience has been nothing short of transformative. It has been a testament to the power of collaboration, intentionality, and service. Working with such a passionate and driven team reaffirmed my belief in the impact that dedicated individuals can have when they come together with a shared purpose. Together, we are not just shaping better programs but rather transforming lives. If our week at RAD Camp proved anything, it’s that inclusive spaces don’t just happen; they are built, nurtured, and scaled. And sometimes, the best way to build them is by turning cold calls into warm connections and ensuring that no good mission is left understaffed. To RAD Camp thank you for welcoming us into your community and for the remarkable work you do each day to uplift and celebrate individuals of all abilities. It was a privilege to support your mission, and I was so thrilled to hitch a ride on this hype train-The RAD! we didn’t just witness an inclusive and joyful community; we saw a masterclass in mission-driven impact one where every camper is valued, every volunteer is essential, and every challenge is met with radical optimism. And what better way to respond than by rolling up our sleeves, expanding networks, and applying a little Mendoza-style business acumen to nonprofit problem-solving? To wrap it up, RAD Camp’s nurse recruitment outreach expanded from 37 hospital organizations to 91, 58% increase, while also engaging 615 school nurses across Orange County. This strategic effort resulted in a 72% growth in direct recruitment reach, significantly broadening the volunteer pipeline.
