Racing Louisville FC is the 2021 NWSL expansion club run by Soccer Holdings, LLC, the same organization behind Louisville City FC, the two-time USL Championship-winning men's side. Both Racing and LouCity play home games at Lynn Family Stadium and operate out of the Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center. Racing Louisville FC's roster contains both World Cup winners and national team-caliber players and set a new NWSL record for an expansion club — including a victory in The Women's Cup, an inaugural tournament held in August 2021 at Lynn Family Stadium. Louisville ranked second in league attendance in 2021 with an average of 6,585 fans per game. Vote here ---> https://lnkd.in/eKHrHN8b I've been fortunate enough to work with Katie for the last two years as she supports the patients, families and staff at Norton Children's. In 2023, the Racing Louisville goalkeeper led efforts to fund a new kids’ playroom in the oncology wing at Norton Children’s Hospital in downtown Louisville, raising more than $14,000 for the project. Katie continued her work with Norton Children’s in 2024, making regular visits to the downtown hospital campus to meet with doctors, nurses and patients and their families to provide encouragement and support in the fight against pediatric cancer. She has also participated in the hospital’s end-of-chemotherapy ceremony, when patients triumphantly ring the bell to mark the occasion. As part of this years' Impact Award, Katie catered lunch for the oncology unit and brought in a large donation of new children's books, purchased from Louisville's local family owned bookstore. Winner of the fan vote will receive an additional $5,000 for their community partner. We'd love your support and daily vote to help us bring additional funds and awareness to Norton Children's! ??
