RaboResearch's Stephen Nicholson, global sector strategist of grains and oilseeds, highlights a promising year ahead for Canada's spring wheat and canola crops. In a recent article from AgCanada, Nicholson suggests that spring wheat production struggles from major exporting regions in Russia and Ukraine as well as larger winter crop yields in the US will lead importers to Canada for additional support. Nicholson goes on to elaborate on canola expectations, saying that the continued need for the US biofuel sector will keep Canadian canola demand strong.
