In today's world, the average American spends a staggering 93% of their life indoors, with 87% inside buildings and another 6% inside cars, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). A groundbreaking study from the Monash School of Psychological Sciences and the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, published in Nature Mental Health, reveals the profound impact of light exposure on mental health.? BLUE LIGHT ?? THE FACTS: ?? blue light is the fastest wavelength so therefore it contains the most energy ?? blue light is the fastest colour- its the reason why the sky is blue, as it’s the first wavelength to hit the earths atmosphere ?? blue light is like the starter engine to our body’s. Go outside without sunglasses for at least the first 10 minutes of each day. (Do not look directly at the ??!!) ?? screens throw out a lot of blue light. Start decreasing the use of screens after 5pm to allow melatonin (what's helps us sleep) to start producing so we fall to sleep easier and sleep better. ?? one of the best ways to stop blue light is by using a pair of blue light blocking glasses, I highly recommend Ra Optics ?? the key thing to remember is there is no disease or disorder that dysfunctioning circadian rhythm doesn’t touch! #circadianrhythm #bluelight #light #sunlight
