For over 35 years, Baxter has been redefining what a construction and development company can do. That’s why our tagline is simply Baxter Built. It represents a long-standing and hard-earned reputation as one of the premier real estate development and property management firms in the Hudson Valley. Many firms have a singular specialty and are brought in on a large project for just that one part of the job. But at Baxter, we believe every project is unique, complex, and requires wearing a lot of different hats. That’s why we maintain a diverse team of specialized experts that work in close collaboration with each other and our clients to get every part of the job done right, from start to finish.

The Regional Food Bank of the Hudson Valley offers so much more than resources. This new facility will serve as a community beacon of hope, support, and an investment in the Hudson Valley’s future. Empire State Development President, CEO and Commissioner Hope Knight said, “The new Hudson Valley distribution center reflects our continued support for strategic community development investments, which help to create jobs and generate regional economic growth. This project will strengthen the network that provides crucial assistance to residents in need, and provide new opportunities for the region’s farm economy.” The New York State Homes and Community Renewal Commissioner RuthAnne Visnauskas said, “The opening of this new state-of-the-art warehouse is a testament to the State's commitment to improving food security for all New Yorkers. Our investment of almost $11 million will allow the Food Bank to serve the community with greater efficiency, improve access to healthy, nutritious meals throughout the Hudson Valley, and assist nearly 180,000 individuals facing food insecurity.” The Food Bank is settling into its new home this season, expanding reach to serve our communities like never before. Celebrating a major milestone for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley's new home base. The opening of the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley’s new headquarters in January of this year marks a huge milestone for Baxter and the region. Spanning 50,000 square feet and nearly 1.5 million cubic feet, the new facility quadruples the Food Bank’s storage capacity, allowing it to serve six counties more efficiently than ever before. This project is a major achievement for a vital organization that supports food-insecure families across the Hudson Valley. Designed with high-volume distribution systems to maximize efficiency, the facility ensures the Food Bank can meet growing community needs for years to come. This milestone reflects not only our construction capabilities but also our dedication to building spaces that make a lasting, meaningful impact on our partners and the community. The Hudson Valley continues solidifying its reputation as a premier hospitality and tourism destination, and Baxter is proud to contribute to the region’s hospitality boom. Building on a portfolio that includes Inness, Scribner's Catskill Lodge, Wylder Windham, Little Cat Lodge, Hudson House, and the Klocke Estate, we remain a trusted partner for projects that redefine guest experiences. Our current involvement includes the Six Bells Hotel in Rosendale, NY, a boutique property set to open in spring 2025. With 11 unique guest rooms, a café, and retail offerings, this project blends local inspiration with modern luxury, celebrating the region's rich culture. The developer, Audrey Gelman, has been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, where she discussed her vision for the hotel, exploring the "space between luxury hospitality and theme hospitality" which promises an immersive guest experience, and featured in Curbed where it celebrates the hotel's maximalist design, contrasting it with the typical upscale upstate aesthetic. The Six Bells continues to create an electrifying buzz and we're looking forward to realizing this unique vision in the region we call home. Our process centers on proactive supply chain management, staying ahead of trends, and ensuring cost-effectiveness every step of the way. Whether through early procurement strategies, bulk purchasing, or exploring alternative materials, our focus remains on maintaining project schedules and budgets in an ever-changing market. Tariffs, global disruptions, and shifting demands are set to impact essential materials in our industry, including steel, concrete, and lumber. With projected inflation in material costs and anticipated supply chain volatility in the coming year, flexibility and meticulous planning are more critical than ever. “At Baxter, we’re closely monitoring these trends and working proactively with suppliers and partners to mitigate risk,” says Patrick Moore, Director of Construction. “Understanding these trends is crucial for us to deliver projects on time and within budget.” Transparency and adaptability will be essential as we navigate the year ahead, ensuring every project stays on target, on budget, and exceeds expectations. https://lnkd.in/eUyS5Dan #BaxterBuilt #BaxterConstruction #ConstructionIndustry #SupplyChain #Construction #NewConstruction #HudsonValley #BuildingTheFuture #ConstructionManagement #CommercialConstruction

Hope lives on. Last year we had the honor of creating HOPE letters for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in Westchester. This fall, the letters live on for another monumental year of support for breast cancer research, with over 20,000 walkers joining forces for 2024. By year's end, the organization is projected to raise $960,000 in essential funds, ranking the annual Westchester walk among the top ten nationwide. While we may have created "HOPE" for this walk, it is the teams that organize, advocate, and participate in this event that truly create the hope. #MakingStridesWestchester #BaxterBuilt #BreastCancerResearch #MakingStridesAgainstBreastCancer #WestchesterNY
